Buono opened its doors on the High Road in Bushey Heath in May 2016. Since then it has become, in the words of our neighbours, “the place where the good food is at”.
Good food, no fuss.
We are a small, independently owned café, restaurant and takeaway. No chain, no head office: just a kitchen, a dining room, and the people who come back to both.
The room is relaxed and informal. The food is not casual about anything. Ingredients are chosen by hand, our sauces and desserts are made here, and every plate is cooked when you order it, then presented the way it deserves.
You will find the classics done properly (carbonara, lasagne, a thin, crisp margherita) alongside dishes our regulars would not let us take off the menu, from the burrata to Ann’s risotto.

Our Bolognese, Napoli and arrabbiata sauces, the lasagne, the tiramisù and strudel are all made in our own kitchen. You can even take the sauces home.
Cooked to order
Steaks, fish, risotto and pizza are cooked when you order them. Pasta comes in starter or main portions, so you can eat the Italian way.
Made for you
Gluten-free or wholemeal pasta, vegetarian and vegan dishes, less spice or more. Tell us what you need and we will do our best to adapt.
